John Duguid, Ph.D., MBA
John Duguid brings over 20 years of experience to the life sciences consulting and investment field. Currently, he is the founder of QMI Capital Management LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor, focused on applying artificial intelligence to investment management. John has consulted with several life science companies, concentrating on portfolio valuation, technical assessment and strategic initiatives. He is an experienced securities analyst, having managed public, private and VC portfolios in healthcare and related technologies for several buy-side firms. John brings practical research experience, previously working as a senior scientist in the field of gene therapy and drug delivery. He holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota, a BS in biomedical engineering from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Cornell University. John is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society Boston, CFA Society New York and the American Association of Individual Investors.
